Approach
Therapy often brings us into contact with the most sensitive and wounded places within ourselves. My approach honors the courage and vulnerability it takes to enter that space. Drawing from attachment-based, somatic, and emotionally focused perspectives, my work recognizes the deep connection between the mind and body and the ways difficult experiences can continue to shape how we feel, respond, and relate to others.
In our work together, we gently explore emotions, body sensations, and relational patterns with curiosity and compassion. Over time, this process can help create greater emotional steadiness, healthier relationships, and a deeper sense of peace within yourself.
I work with adults (20+) navigating a range of concerns, including the effects of traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, addiction, and challenges within personal and relational dynamics.
Healing is often a gradual journey, but a pathway toward greater peace is possible.
Qualifications
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marshall University, followed by a Master of Science in Health Care Administration in 2018 and a Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2020. During my graduate training, I became deeply committed to supporting individuals navigating trauma, emotional distress, and life transitions.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in West Virginia and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. My clinical training includes specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). These evidence-based approaches help individuals process painful experiences, strengthen emotional awareness, and reduce the lasting impact trauma can have on daily life and relationships.
I am also a member of the International Society of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (IS-ART) and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
